Processors are not Law Enforcement Officers and are not qualified to be Law Enforcement Officers. Its just that simple. Some don't care when more problems or work is put on other people.

And it makes it harder on the processors and taxidermists with absolutely no benefit to the overall health of the deer herd. Its just more damn crap to deal with that makes the state some chicken scratch money and pisses people off. Exactly!! And we will NEVER get an answer for why this is a requirement other than some BS "management plan that nobody can tell you about!

What happens if you find a processor that will skirt this and take your deer? They then get a visit from Mr. Green Jean's and they do not have the proper documentation? What if they provide Mr. Green Jean's with your phone # and name, and he calls you and ask where's the confirmation #? What do you tell him? Then you tell him you either have your confirmation number or you don’t. It’s not rocket science.

Sure looks to me like the sole purpose of the dcnr under this administration is to make money. It's no different than any corporation; they just happen to make their money by selling the public access to the outdoors. And they have brainwashed most hunters into believing that they perform an essential service and there would be no fish or game without them.
I still think a much better model would be to abolish the state agency and divide the license money out to the sheriffs, then have them employ the GWs. Require each one to employ at least one full time conservation officer, but then every deputy would also serve as a GW. Set the seasons and limits with an elected CAB. I realize that model would have it's on problems, but it least it would be more responsible to the people.

Probably cause it sucked also. I called that number 4 times (hung up on me 3 times) and on the 4th call "after i entered all my info" it told me to go to outdoor alabama 🤦♂️ Never called it again smh...

No idea. Have used it 9 times in past 3 years to report deer killed and never had a problem. On and off the phone in 3 or 4 minutes every time.

Learn how to process your own and it’s no longer a problem. I know how to process them and it's much easier and less messy and I can get on to doing something else after I drop it off at the processor. Long story short, its easier to gamecheck it than process it for me.

Every question, comment, complaint and suggestion needs to burn their phones up! It's way past time to hammer Sykes for his handling of DCNR and call him out till he won't even come out of his house. Call TV stations and local newspapers and demand answers. RAISE HELL until you're heard and then push for changes! You won't get anywhere just posting on here. I hunt exclusively in TN and wish y'all well on this.
