Has anyone been on the mayflys when they first hatch and surface ? Man, you can have some awesome top water action when you do. The big ones are often there for the all you can eat buffet. You know, Perch, I've hit the mayflies multiple times this year (Logan Martin, Lay, Weiss, and Neely) and haven't done diddly squat with them.... I agree with your assessment usually, but this has been a peculiar year. We fished Lay this past Saturday (way down on the low end around Paint Creek), there was a fair mayfly hatch occuring, but not even any bream smacking around.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.
