Just left there water is a couple inches above full pool it’s at 465.2. Alabama power says back at curve by Saturday so it’ll be droppings couple to 3 feet. Main body of water is chocolate milk but can find some good water up in creeks. The water swing kinda threw a loop in the bass that was schooling up nailing Shad I had been seeing. I was crappie fishing and was able to find a few here and there but couldn’t shoot the docks with water up. I’m sure you can find bass I was cruising ledges looking for crappie. This was down river near rabbit branch

Punch of pontoons, several jet skis, couple of sail boats, quite a few wakeboats, and even seen a cigar boat. Stay away from clear creek and rabbit branch. I’ll head up loch 4 next time. Just a few pontoons up that way.....oh and the few fisherman out fishing $50 club tournaments in full trim like they fishing against Wheeler for $125,000

Haven't been on Logan in about two weeks, but if it's fishing like Neely and Weiss I have NO recommendations

I'm hoping to go to Logan one afternoon this week. Going to try and time it so 2 generators will be running. Got to get in and out before the 4th of July crowd gets going.

I’m gonna try to slip in about 4 am and get out about 9. Maybe that’ll work.If you like night fishing you can get a little in that way too....honestly might as well put boat up from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

We're gonna fish that Honda open derby out of D&S (5:00A to 10:30A). Neither of us will have the chance to go before Saturday, so we're just gonna show up and donate probably

We wouldn't have won, I don't really know if we'd have even been in the money, but we just didn't fish clean and it bit us in the butt. I seldom have any of those stories about missing fish, or them jumping off, or stuff like that, but dang Saturday was as bad as I've ever had for crap like that. There's a heavy mayfly hatch from about Lock 4 on up, and we had a couple of stretches with activity. They turned us loose from D&S at 5:00AM and we skint it back headed up towards Ohatchee, but at about Broken Arrow we hit a major fog wall, and I mean just had to get out of it and idle to the closest bank for about 15 mins. Heck it was still mostly dark, and I remembered seeing multiple BIG logs sticking up in the channel when I went Friday. Anyway, we get to the righthand bank and I zinged a buzzbait up there (frankly I didn't even know exactly where I was :D), WHOOOSH a fish just flushed it!! I barely turned the fish at first, it jumped twice and I saw it just quickly enough to say it was a 3+ spot. Got it halfway to the boat and it just pulled off (using a trailer hook).
Finally we motor on up the river to our original destination, everything looks promising, but an hour later we ain't had a bite. By now the fog has burned off and the sun is blistering bright. No current, no wind, just a bazillion mayflies with apparently nothing around them. I finally caught a 2# and 2-1/2# largemouth just random junk fishing. We went by this one little jut out in the bank and it had a bush growing out in the water.... my partner flipped to it, immediately bowed up and the water boiled, and he pulled what looked like a 3+ pound fish over the rootball, flop it came off. We eventually caught two more dink spots and wound up weighing 4 pitiful fish for 6.91 pounds. I think it took 13.80-something to win. Whole bunch of 7-9 pound bags.

I have not, but have heard lots of reports this week (several of my buddies are fishing a derby tomorrow). Best advice I could offer is "offshore". They act like they haven't been catching diddly squat shallow.

Has anyone been on the mayflys when they first hatch and surface ? Man, you can have some awesome top water action when you do. The big ones are often there for the all you can eat buffet.

You know, Perch, I've hit the mayflies multiple times this year (Logan Martin, Lay, Weiss, and Neely) and haven't done diddly squat with them.... I agree with your assessment usually, but this has been a peculiar year. We fished Lay this past Saturday (way down on the low end around Paint Creek), there was a fair mayfly hatch occuring, but not even any bream smacking around.
