I've been boycotting since the first time I ate there 5 years ago but it was because it sucked and was extremely overpriced.

Story sounds fishy to me still. Wouldnt doubt it at all if it had happened in Mobile but hard to believe it happened in Daphne. If it happened the way it was reported the police department ought to lay it out and directly say they refused to serve them because they were policemen and not be vague about it.

Speaking of The Mediterranean Sandwich Co., I saw on the book of faces where they are having "Blue Thursday" tomorrow and police officers will eat free at all of their locations. So if you know any who work in Mobile or Daphne, let them know.

Five Guys and the Franchisee of the Daphne, AL location were made aware of reports that local Police Officers had been denied service by employees at that location.
Five Guys and the franchisee are actively investigating the situation and are committed to getting to the bottom of it. However, no matter what the details are, we do not want these police officers, or any customer, to feel disrespected or slighted in anyway. We apologize to those officers and also want to make it clear that Five Guys and its franchisees are committed to fair, respectful, and equal treatment for all customers.
We will continue to investigate the matter.

If you get another reply it will say that it is company policy not to make public statements on personnel matters. In other words, they aren't telling you what, if anything they are going to do.

I just got a response. The employees involved were either Terminated or Suspended and the store was closed until 4:00 today for employee training with the Daphne Police department.
