100 pounds of seed may be ok if you are drilling it. It if you are broadcasting you better bump it up to at least 300 pounds (of cereal grains).

You are only going to burn $10 of fuel to lime, spray, bushhog, disc, spread, and cover per acre? Not hardly. $10 won’t get most people’s tractor to the camp house.





300 pounds to the acre for cereal grains? You may be doing something wrong. Seriously.

Maybe a better drag (not enough seed covering) or less disking (too much seed covering).

I've never gone over 100# broadcast and covered over with a drag.
