Yep, replaced mine with a hunter (well few months later) after you recommended it, and she'll pull the front tires off the ground now!!!!

James is right it could be water in the belt housing. A hose came off my Gator last hunting season letting water inside the housing and it would barely move until all the water drained out. It didn’t last long though so I’m thinking your problem is a bad belt. I changed one on a Mule I had and the worst part was getting the seal to stay on place while putting it back together.
