Telling you you're impeding traffic by doing 35 mph in a 45 mph zone is bullchit. I'll bet $100 there is no minimum on your little county roads. I agree he's probably picking on different people because he can.

Escalate that to his supervisor with specific examples - days, times, examples, and not just "that guy's a dick!" - and go from there. Point out the specific things.

That's horseshit. Farm implements have been on Alabama roads for decades and EVERYONE just slows down, goes around, and if the driver can do it he pulls over in the ROW or lets folks pass if it builds up.

It's actually one thing I like about spring and summer. We live in an area with a lot of smart folks and international companies, yet you can get behind a cotton picker or tractor sometimes.

And yet there's a Dickhead Chad cop making a deal about it. Damn.

Not all farmers are great people either. EVERY occupation has good and bad folks, just a fact of life.

DW, it stinks that he is giving farmers a hard time. Tractors w/ implements are an everyday occurrence on my local county and state highways. You should definitely speak to his trooper post commander.

go have a meeting with your local District Judge, he will set the trooper straight if need be.

I've been cross with a police officer three times in my whole life. Two of them were state troopers one Selma city cop.

DW, your trooper must have a cousin trooper in Chelsea. Hides watching a 4 way stop 7 miles from town. If you don't stop, rock back and count to 3 he's going to give you a ticket. Doesn't matter if you were the only vehicle at the intersection either. I saw him hiding a couple weeks ago so I stopped, counted to 15, then went. Turned his direction, rolled my window down and asked if that was long enough. He said yes, but I'll get you one day.

He's a ........

In the picture I took I’m in my yard, he is in a drive way and hasn’t ever been asked to sit there. Y’all wanna look outside your window and see a trooper just sittin there cause he thinks he can? My nieghbor don’t live there all the time, he’s in and out, but still. And I’m not sure why I never thought about going over his head, but I will now. And he only lives a mile up the road, he used to come by my house every morning when he took his kids to school in the trooper Tahoe.

Owner of our company owns vacant lot in muscle shoals next to a 4 way Caution light. Also next to highway 72. Dot sets up on his lot an stops our logs trucks all the time. One driver told the trooper that did he not know the owner of truck he was inspecting owned the parking lot they was standing on? His reply was “ yea thats why we are here”!! Wth. One logging crew got stopped in Russellville in company crew truck. Dot would Not let him Go on home because fuel tank in back of truck held over 100 gal of fuel. Gonna impound truck . Only way to move it was take tank out of truck. Driver told trooper to follow Him back to woods. Took boom ripped fuel Tank out bed of truck an went home. Now we got have 2 98 gal tanks with crossover pipes. This is just couple examples we loggers has dealt with. Something every week. They pick on us Loggers an farmers on a daily basis. State of ms is worst than Alabama. They will impound truck at 100 pds overweight since this virus thing extended weight limit to 90k. We have fewer problems in tn than anywhere. We know most dot folks in north ala by first Name basis we deal with them so much.

Them sumbiches get all giddy and giggly when they catch an overweight truck.
Like it's a damn celebration when they nearly ruin a man with an expensive fine

What really pisses you off is when you load a truck and your certified scales show 87,600 and he gets an overweight ticket on seperate axle weight over. That’s just a bitch

I don't know so I'm asking anyone who might legitimately know: can law enforcement officers use state/county/city issued vehicles for personal business?

I used to be like you, then I got a motorcyle and realized how many meth heads, drunks and texters are out there. Now I appreciate them being setup on my street.
