We actually had a new trooper assigned to clanton a few years ago. He immediately began writing tickets to anyone with a farm tag.
He refused to listen to any reasoning. Had to have the local judge explain it to him.

State troopers ain't nothing but tax collectors, revenue enhancers. That's it.

Same here. I'm actually about to go talk to a young neighbor about him punching the pedal and turning up the
loud stereo as he goes by the house.

I invite anyone to spend time on the alabama highways in a chip or log truck to verify the truth of this comment. Absolutely nothing but money collectors & harassment of decent folks trying to make a living.

Somebody seems to be but doubt it is the AHP officer. So he writes tickets for speeding and tries to correct people who are breaking the law - no lights, etc....what shame that he is doing his duty.

One pulled our sprayer over a few years ago for going 35 in a 45. Said we were impeding traffic. Hell man we got somewhere to be also. Can’t help it it only runs 35.

Farm equipment has the same rights as anything else does. I didn’t know Hand signals was against the law. Stop eating food since farmers are such law breakers.

I get it nobody likes a dick head cop or not a cop. Right now is not the time to be bitching and whining about the Police. They need our support more than ever. If you have a problem with one ( a real problem) then don’t hide behind a keyboard phuckn whinning on ALdeer or Facebook. Put your man panties on and go handle it.

You fkn serious, So azzholes get a pass now? Maybe instead writing farmers tickets for BS, he should put his man panties on, and go bust some looters and vandals heads, or maybe bust up a bingo hall

Yeah I am serious. Like I said he might be a dick head and will continue to be. Nobody said he gets a pass. I said put your man panties and handle the problem call his supervisors or file a complaint....better yet don’t break any laws and you should not ever even have a reason to run into him. He is a traffic cop; for the most part. He writes tickets and works traffic crashes. That is what he does. He might just be the guy that shows up and saves you, your wife or maybe even your kids. But he will still be a dick head

Just like every other job, there is good and bad. I'd much rather take my ticket from a good one.

That’s right Micheal, that’s why I said ones like him, give the “good ones” bad names. I don’t want them not to do there job, just don’t be a dick and use some common sense. I also didn’t realize I could call the head office and complain and get somewhere. That’ll be my next move.

Some good, some bad. Ticket for 52 in a 45 zone is bullschitt. Most cops or troopers will not pull you over unless you are going more than 10-15 MPH over the limit. In a residential area they are not as lenient, rightfully so, due to kids being in streets.

I've been pulled over once in the last ten year, going 83 in a 70. Trooper let me off with a warning.

Those of you who think exceeding the speed limit is a horrible crime - make sure you get your slow poke azz outta the left lane, especially if it's a black GMC riding your bumper. 😀

I got pulled over in oneonta when I was 16 for impeding traffic. It was two oclock in the morning and I had just carried a friend home from work. When I pulled out on the four lane into the right hand lane, I saw him coming so I went real slow because I wasnt sure what the speed limit was and didnt want to get a ticket. We were the only two vevicles on two miles of a 5lane road(4lanes with a turning lane)and I was impeding traffic. He gave me a warning ticket. One of my many good experiences with cops.
