So we went from covid to police killing blacks to Confederate monuments in less than 2 weeks this is ridiculous
WE all must understand how they work. They will never let a crisis go to waste. Never. Why? Because the environment is ripe for attention and change. Why put off til tomorrow what can be done well today since all eyes are on the nation? This is their strategic mentality.
The Floyd death sparked outrage over police misconduct against minorities. So since this was seen as purely racially motivated, then all things racial are fair game to them. Protests all over the country were planned to get something they have been wanting for a long time....removal of symbols they declare as divisive and racially charged.
So we have monuments coming down all over...some with chains and brick hammers by protesters....some by Progressive proactive city leaders....some by politically correct scared normally conservative white leaders.
Why let a manufactured crisis stay in MN? Make hay while the sun is shining....ie, the medial is all over this and monuments coming down push the narrative further.
They gained many steps forward just by taking to the streets and demanding outcomes.
From my perspective, they aren't capable of seeing history and a record of the past--whether that past was good, bad, right or wrong. They only see it as approval and celebration of the past...so they desire to have an issue with anything that may have a degree of a dark past....whether that's true or not. This is because they have been indoctrinated with Progressive ideals and hatred. The hate today resides much more in the minority side toward the white majority than the other way around. Sure there are ignorant white racists that still feel blacks are sub-human as a race....but that is very much a small percentage of white people. The percentage of minorities that think in racist ways far exceeds that. I will admit far more of the white majority hold the pervasive criminal and entitlement sucking black culture in contempt more than being directed to individuals in those communities.
