Apparently, if your kids go to a public school that does the free lunch thing then you might be getting an EBT card with some amount of cash on it to feed your kids. Even if you don't really need it. I might be getting some free food. If it happens then its Lobster tails and rib-eyes at my place. Dangit, this is a very weird time.

I'd figure it would only be for those currently on foodstamps/ EBT. In any event, pretty crazy. Do they increase EBT for the summer months normally? I doubt it.

When the corona started some schools were serving pickup lunches for kids. What I couldn’t understand if they qualified for a free lunch they should already be getting stamps to feed the kids

During our foster care classes we learned 1 in 3 kids in Madison County do not get 3 square meals a day. My jaw dropped. Some parents need their butts kicked. As for increasing EBT......more people on the tit.

Elementary schools in Chelsea are doing drive through free lunches for every child, regardless of who is on a free lunch program. My wife was there picking up something from Jacob's teacher....lunch ladies asked her how many kids in the household. She said, I have older boys out of school, so just 1. They said it didn't matter and handed her 3 sack lunches with sandwiches, oranges, milk and juice. They are doing this I know 5 days a week.

When someone applies for an EBT card they count the heads in the household so they're adding the cost of a lunch already into the amount they get anyway what did they eat during spring break or Christmas holidays do they starve if they can't pick up a meal at the lunch room this is b******* a loaf of bread and some sandwich meat doesn't cost very much to feed your child for lunch quit buying DiGiorno pizzas Hot Pockets and selling your food stamps for cigarettes

Im the only income and don't get paid child support ( parents don't pay and DHR is no help.). And I promise you that my family is taken care of. I'll do without before they do.
