Was putting a roof on my back patio and a step ladder gave out on me.
I was able to catch myself in the rafters to do a "controlled landing" but
when I did something malfunctioned in my shoulder. Still really sore after
6 weeks.
And about 3 weeks ago I took a spill doing some bank fishing with my son
and done something to my knee. It's still stiff and sore, hard to stand up
in the mornings.
So now, after working on my Landcruiser yesterday I'm a total disaster.
And my son just told me we need to go fishing tomorrow.
I understand just wanting to stay home now.

56 here and changed a clutch last weekend in the garage on jackstands. That getting up and down from the floor sucks. Sure makes you think ahead of what you need before you go climb underneath. And making sure there is something close by that you can grab on to in order to help pull yourself up!
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

my 13 year old grandson Dylan has been at my house since school closed. He's a big fella for his age and a hard worker. I've been working him(us) hard on several projects. It's about to kill this old man just keeping up with him.
I don't get down on the ground unless I have to. Bad knees, bad back, lived too long.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Pulled and rebuilt two lift cylinders on the skid steer, serviced it dropped the skids degreased and washed out the belly pan, planted 24 tomatoes, 6 hills of squash, two zucchini, and four cucumber. I am not sure I can drag my end to the shower and to bed. If my 11 year old wasn’t after me to get tomatoes in the ground I would have quit way before dark but she was helping so I stayed till we got them in the ground.

I’m 51 and pert as a rutting buck.
But some days I have a hitch in my back from my little treestand spill.
It was 3 months ago today. I didn’t wear the brace at all this week but might wear it turkey hunting tomorrow.

And here I am today hurting from bank fishing yesterday. Not gonna fool with standing on irregular rip rap for 2 or 3 hours today although it was a dang good fishing trip yesterday. Got mowing to do later and at least that's a sitting job

Thats the messed up thing about getting old. I go out and work like a plow mule and the next day I am not sore...so I do it again...but then the next day and week I can't move cause I'm so sore.

I was strong and fit till I fell on my back from 8 feet. I've lived in pain every day since then. Doc says I'll never heal. Because of my age.
