I know my chances of getting an honest answer are slim, but figured I’d ask anyway. Are the turkeys gobbling in Dallas County? I’m going with a guy I work with (That has never been turkey hunting) to his lease, and I was wondering if the birds in that area are gobbling, or have they about quit for the year?

Lol. I probably shouldn’t have said quit and deserve that, but the ones I have been messing with on my lease have went incognito for about 2 weeks now, so I was just curious what to expect. I know they are going to be turkeys regardless, so wondering if people are hearing down that way.

I know a good many folks in that area that are having success. It's hit and miss though. In Wilcox, they have not had a good spring of gobbling. But if you get a chance, go, cause you never know.

Went Sat morning and had 4 gobbling on the limb. Not so much once they hit the ground. This was in the Summerfield area.

If you hear a turkey gobble in Marengo, Dallas, or Wilcox counties at least 3 people heard him and 2 are not supposed to be there.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.
