I live in GA, but I am bowhunting on some property in AL. Just curious what time yall r gettin in your stands for the evening hunt? With the time difference, I don't want to climb up too late!!

Where I hunt, most deer movement seems to happen within the last hour daylight. Schedule permitting, I like to sneek in 3 hours before dark or earlier.

I was planning on bein in my stand at 3:30. Too late?

The earlier the better. If you hunt on public land the best times to hunt would be from 10-3 when all the other hunters are moving around. I get in my stand at 3 and usually start seeing deer about 4

I was set up yesterday by 2:30PM

I'm on private land. Got a ton of trail cam pics, but they have all been coming out right about 6:15 pm, prob too dark to shoot with my bow. This morning, after I got out of my stand, I took down the trail cam and checked it, and there was a buck at my stand about the same time I was getting out of my Truck and walking to my stand (5:30 AM). All the other pics show deer intil at least 6:30 am, except this morning, so I am thinking since I showed up, and scared off any incoming deer, that they might be back to feed earlier tonight?

Got in my tree at 1:45pm and shot a coyote at 2:30pm. Didn't see anything after that.

I usually try to be in the stand by 2:30 if I can.
I had 6 doe come out and start feeding yesterday afternoon at 3pm in a plot near my stand.

3:30 is plenty early enough!

I was in my stand at 2:12 on friday, and shot the biggest deer of my life at 2:30. This was this past friday. It is really hard to say. Deer will get up to feed about every 4 hours. Atleast thats what I have been told. Several years ago I killed a good buck at 1:40 in the afternoon. I think a lot of when you see deer is the location too. I like hunting near bedding areas, or as in this past friday....a white oak flat just outside of a bedding area.

I got in my stand on Friday and Saturday about 2:45 and I either spooked deer or saw them immediately after climbing up. Saw deer the next couple of hours, and by dark the movement had all but ceased.

I try to be in by 2:30, but I can remember climbing up a tree at 5 and sticking a deer at 5:05.....

by 2 pm
