If any of y’all use a rear tine tiller, how do you lay your rows out. I’ve got a plow that attaches to the drag bar and I run it on either side of “my row”. Is that the right way? I lay mine out with my 4 wheeler. Just drive through the garden then put one tire in one of the tire tracks and drive across the garden making one new tire track each pass. Keeps the rows good and straight and is the right distance apart for a tear tine tiller. G90 is my favorite Joe and I have seen the same. I like peaches and cream too, but it does blow over badly. Is G90 ever sold under a different name? Went looking for it today, but no luck at Thrasher’s Feed and Seed. No. It’s just G-90 or Sweet G-90

Good move Fur. Good questions too. I learned about Dolomitic from you a bit back. This year when I planted my tomatoes, I crumbled up a rolaid in each hole and one around the base of the plants. About time to feed mine again. They have more than doubled in size since I planted and I already have a tomato!! Finally found where I put the dolomitic after I planted!! LOL

Dang Fur, reckon I was trying to make it harder than it needed to be. I'm planting squash, okra and watermelons this weekend. Four wheeler will be loaded up.

Everything I've planted is popping up well except my beans. I put 2 seeds of Blue Lake Bush Beans in each hole spread out 6 inches apart, about 10 planted spots and it's going on almost 3 weeks and only see a few seeds sprouting. Am I being inpatient or do I need to replant? Any tips if I have to re-plant? The seeds were coated with something but not sure what...

If I plant don’t draw a row to plant on, I also use the 4wheeler to mark my rows. I do this for beans peas and corn in my well draining blocks of garden. I will plant 2 rows between the tracks and trench between the 2 rows of plants and lay the drip tape between them. Water 2 rows with one tape. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/sc3Le1p.jpg)

I’ll give them a week and if they aren’t up, I’m either replanting or planting something else. With the right conditions and good seed planted at the proper depth you should see sprouts in about 3-4 days.

The 2 plots farthest from the camera is all different kinds of watermelons. The plot where I passed with the 4 wheeler are from left to right is 6 double planted rows of different varieties of green beans. The area where the turnips are is now planted in red ripper, Texas 40 cream peas and some zipper creams. The right plot on the other side of the onions has 12 rows of sweet corn and a row of cucumbers. Now the west garden is a whole nuther story for later. I’d rather grow stuff then mow grass so that’s why it’s so big.

Nice stuff, MM! Question on watering. Since I only have 160 square ft would soaker hoses or sprinkler be better. I'd have to buy hoses but they aren't that pricey right now. Thoughts?

I would definitely use soaker hose if it’s an option. Put the water right at the base of the plant. Less Chance of fungi and other diseases from wetting the leaves. I’ve heard of people using over head watering when it’s hot to cool the plants down some but I’m not sure about that.

Can I plant tomatoes in a chlorine bucket from last year???? Yes. Drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the bucket and don't use dirt in the bucket. You'll have to water it very often.

One more soaker hose question. Do I need to run it under my weed barrier "tarp" or on top of ok? I'm about to mulch after I install the soaker hose but wasn't sure if it needs to go over or under the barrier fabric.

My lima beans and purple hulls have been in the ground for 12 days and and the germination is sparse. Kinda think the co-op sold me some bad seed . No packing date to be found.
