It does not help that telling people to shelter at home and not leave unless absolutely necessary and limiting things at the store are a little contradictory.
Personally, I am not real keen on going anywhere that there are or have been lots of people lately. So, I can see why some as each new order has come out have gone and "stocked up" with the hope of not having to get out again, especially if an older or immunocompromised person or someone shopping for one of those.
What works really great is that you build up your supplies over time instead of feeling the need to wipe out a whole shelf at one time when there is an intense need by the whole community.
There are just certain things that some people just absolutely do not want to be without and TP would be one of them. For me it is lip balm of some sort and I have a fair number in hand, but it has accumulated over time as I have caught it at a good price, tried new brands, etc. But, I extremely rarely ever leave the house without lip balm in my pocket and my sunglasses on the front of my face or on top of my head. I guess those are my biggest "creature comforts".

People laughed, those people don’t have toilet paper now. (Agree, if you have plenty of toilet paper, and are filling closets up with more, that’s an ass move)

Had a small come apart in Walmart the other day. Got 2 4 packs along with other stuff and headed for check out. Woman said I can only buy 1 pack. I said I wanted a 8 pack and yall don't have them so I got 2 4s. She said again I can't buy them. I told how stupid that was that they let the idiots buy 16 packs and come back through with another one later and I can't buy 8 rolls. Told her it should be by number of rolls not packs because all packs are not created equal.
I don't get it of all things to hoard , if someone is truly quarantined , they can call someone to throw a 4 pack on the porch. Idiots.

MrsGomer was at the grocery store last week buying stuff to make chili and red beans & rice...... she had 4 cans of beans - 2 cans of 1 kind for the chili, and 2 more cans of a different brand/kind of beans for the rb&r. totally different products. Cashier wouldn't ring her up, told her they're limiting customers to 2 of any given item. She explained that they were 2 totally different items but cashier refused to ring her up. Had to call the manager over who basically told the cashier she was an idiot and to ring it up. People are stupid
