We were in DC 3 weeks ago, when things really started going south here. When we left for DC, things were mostly normal, so we never "stocked up" but upon getting back, store shelves had been plundered and pillaged.......particularly the TP aisle. we've managed to find a pack here and there as needed, but would have to try 4 or 5 different stores to find even a single pack each time.

I could maybe understand folks stocking up heavily on the front end, 3 or 4 weeks ago, and stores temporarily running out of inventory, but why is there still a shortage?? Seems like those folks that stocked up on the front end wouldn't be buying it right now, unless maybe they hoarded it all away and are still buying more? I don't get it......I mean, I know a lot of folks are home more than normal and may be using a little more than they usually would, but there really shouldn't still be a shortage.

Did you slap the taste out of his mouth? Or at least give him a dog cussing?

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

The second wave...all the people who missed the first wave and couldn't find TP. Then said to themselves "won't happen again!" Plunder. Repeat.

There were cases and cases of TP at the Walmart Jr. (by Chick fil a) last week.
I think they just unloaded a truck that morning.
I haven't been there since then though.

God Bless,
David B.

Check big box stores like Wal Mart for some. They are limiting people inside which will cut down on the riff raff going nuts and they receive larger shipments of TP versus a place like publix or piggly wiggly, much higher percentage for finding some there than anywhere else.

that makes sense.......however, I didn't like Walmart even before all this stuff started. Always felt dirty after leaving. I had to go in one last week and it seemed exponentially nastier than normal. Just the clientele seemed grosser. I honestly think I'd rather just get up from the toilet and get straight in the shower before going to Walmart (a supercenter, at least) to buy TP

No doubt. I agree. I go there simply out of convenience because I live close, otherwise I'd likely never go. Yesterday there were quite a few panhandlers out in the parking lot trying to run game for some money, asking to move your empty cart for you for a buck, etc. Hopefully you can get some at some other place and not subject yourself to that

Gomer, check the store where you buy most and find out what day of the week they restock. Then be there that morning before the nuts buy it out. They need to start limiting those nuts to the number they can purchase to two of everything.

You could say he and I dont see eye to eye on this entire virus. Normally we get along well but I am about ready to just tell him we can speak again once all this is over. I did tell him people with guns could get his TP whenever they needed it as he is not a gun owner. He did not think that was funny

According to this article, home tp use is projected to increase by 40% because we are home instead of at the workplace or school. Those closed places were where a lot of tp was used. The problem is supply chain-home tp and work tp are not the same product, and some mills are geared up for institutional only. They are packaged differently than home tp, and delivered through different distribution systems.
