How does life get back to normal. How do you turn the dial up on normal business, people not wearing masks, a simple little league baseball game, etc....at what point do these things happen and how do you transition to them after this. I'm not a sky is falling guy, but I really am not sure how this transition will happen based on where we are now.

Literally nothing has changed for me. I know a lot of people it has, which sucks.
Wife is working from home, and daughters daycare is closed.
I’m full guns a blazing at work. No different, probably busier in the construction world

Work is slow when it should be busy. Small groups have to meet virtually. The gym is closed. Other than that it’s the same for me.
I don’t think it will take much for people to get back I’m their ruts.

Life will change/resume whatever you want to call it, with time and knowledge. The two will go hand in hand. With more time comes more chances to study wuhan virus, more deaths to examine how it kills people. How does it interact with existing conditions etc. Are you more at risk if you are high blood pressure vs diabetes or whatever. More statistics to look at and hopefully make more accurate predictions, models, wags whatever you want to call them depending on which side of the fence your on. More time and knowledge to create a vaccine, that will likely be only partially effective.
With time and knowledge fear of the unknown will decrease.
For my family, life truly hasn't changed.....yet. If one of us wakes up with Wuhan flu tomorrow or the economy crashes, then yes our lives will change.

I kind of honestly view this whole thing like a Football or Baseball game that has a weather delay. We were all prepped and ready for a great game and the game was going well and everyone was enjoying it... Then the storm hit. Now everyone is saying, "This is bullchit, what a bummer, I've got stuff to do, etc..."
As soon as the storm's over we're going to get right back to the game just like it was before. The players are going to be a little tight, but once the game gets back in play everyone's going to loosen up and it will all be in full swing.
People are tired of being locked up and they are raring to go as soon as the green light is given.

I would imagine Texas/other oil heavy states and tourism areas(Orlando/Las Vegas) are what immediately come to mind. A lot of people have the mindset, "I can afford the payment it's no big deal."

Toys that people could not afford to begin with. Bought on credit. Sad we choose to live like that.

After a legitimate, proven, effective vaccine is available. Twelve months, at least.

We need an infrastructure bill badly. Fact is many peoples jobs are gone for a long time and they aren't coming back soon. We need to get people working on repairing and building this countries infrastructure while we are printing all this funny money. At least we will get something real out of it.

Your 12 months statement scares the hell out of me

Your gonna have to wait about 6 months after they develop a vaccine or an antibiotic that works very well, they will probably start-up all professional sports after a little over a month, and all businesses/shops will reopen after about 3 weeks. It will probably take a little while until parents start letting their little kids start playing sports again. People will probably be very reluctant to shake a hand, hug, or get very close to people. But over time, people will forget and feel comfortable doing it, it will probably take about 12 months for the most reluctant people to start doing it regularly. But it will take a very good vaccine or antibiotic to convince most people to try to return to normal life
