Well this will be my last morning before I have to go into work for the next 4 nights. Hoping the other bird who was with him is a little lonely. I'm just the back up shooter today hoping my buddy gets him but I ain't going to let him walk given the opportunity. Good luck this week.

Killed #2 yesterday morning. Two year old bird. I forgot to get pictures with our Team # but have a couple of pictures with my gun and hat so maybe I can still enter him. Had another great morning in the woods.

Bird #3 had to improvise and do a selfie on this one.lol Two of the Three are 3 year olds and the last one was a 2 year old. Im going to wait before turning any birds in because i am hoping for a few upgrades as the season goes on. Still have the rest of Alabama season and going to Kentucky, Missouri and Wisconsin. Might hit Tennessee if the timing is right. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/7NpkQBQ.jpg)

![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/f6ZtN0Q.jpg) This is the closest thing I got to a selfie. I was really taking a picture of this leather turkey tote. Maybe it will work. I was by myself and didn't think about getting a picture for the contest. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/XCxuSuQ.jpg)

Yeah that will be good enough. Congrats. It's still early also plenty of time to get more and maybe a few upgrades. Yal keep hammering them. Got to work the next 4 nights but I'll get back after them after that. Maybe slip in a couple hours in the mornings when I get off. Not sure if I can go 4 days without getting back after them.

I feel you. I'm sitting here watching the sunrise at my house and it's killing me. I have to meet someone this morning and don't have time to go. Only my second morning to sit out so far. Finally a little cooler air as well. It's been hot and muggy hunting so far.

Anyone getting to go these last few days. Tough here having to work nights. Weather seemed pretty tough today.

Got into the woods last Saturday morning. Had one going early, but he went with the hens instead of to me. Had another gob fired up a bit later, but he was on the adjacent property in a old clear cut (no permission to hunt) and refused to move my way. Plan to be back after them this weekend. Unfortunately I am two hours away from the property I hunt, and work M-F, so its weekends only for me.
Good luck to all you guys that are getting to hunt!!

Last night working then I'm off for 7. Going to take my 7 year he is getting big enough to do a little running and gunning. Might let him shoot if the situation is perfect but if not I will pull the trigger so he can atleast see one flop. Good luck everyone.

I went the last two mornings and didn't hear a gobble. I'll be back after them Saturday and Sunday.

Well took my 7 year old had a lot of close calls but just couldn't deal the deal. Today sat on a old Tom but just to think to get a shot. Moved about half dozen times but he was were he wanted to be. Sitting on a ridge trying to pin point the last gobble I heard before committing. Good luck all.

Hopefully your son will get one buckbrush, that has to be awesome having him with you. Our son would have been 7 years old this year and I always imagine him being able to sit in my lap and what a special memory that would be. Definitely enjoy these days with him. I was blessed again this morning and got #3. This was about the 6th time I've hunted this same bird. I had to get in there well before daylight to get between him and where he likes to go before he pitched down. I've been within 100 yards of him 3 different times and I finally got him figured out. Killed him at 6:45. He gobbled a total of 4 times. My first without spurs ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/4UleeRk.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/pTtJnPK.jpg)

Forgot to mention that he did weigh 22 lbs 7 oz. I believe he's the heaviest bird I've ever killed.

Congrats. I've only killed 1 bird two years ago that didn't have any spurs. That joker was small to boot. That one you got there is a hoss. All the birds I've seen killed this year have great weight to them except the 2 year old I killed it only weighed 18. The others have been 20lbs.
