Bird had the high ground on me and wouldn’t budge. I watched him strut and gobble at 80 yds for 30 minutes. He wouldn’t budge though he knew he should be able to see the hen.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

They didn't gobble the greatest on the limb where I was but the flat arse got after it on the ground. I was huntin two birds who pitched into a 3ac green field and just never would get within range but I heard several other birds also and from fly down til 745-8 they gobbled their heads off like I havent heard in a while.

Thankyall They didn't gobble the greatest on the limb where I was but the flat arse got after it on the ground. I was huntin two birds who pitched into a 3ac green field and just never would get within range but I heard several other birds also and from fly down til 745-8 they gobbled their heads off like I havent heard in a while. Its been the same with the birds I've been chasing. Very little gobbling on the roost but the seem to be getting fired up around 7:45 -8 then nothing late morning/ mid day. Exact opposite of last year.
