I had this posted a while back and took it down because we had a large waiting list. As I am working down the waiting list, I wanted to post this in case others wanted to be added.
Let me first say, this may not be your type of club and that is ok. Just because you get a call to meet, doesn't mean you will be given the chance to join. We are very selective and want to find the right type of members that match the current club.
We have 2000 acres and will be going into our 4th year of managing this piece of property. Over the last 3 seasons, we have limited buck and doe harvest on the property and have seen the deer population make some very good gains. The property is a mix of pines of multiple maturities, hardwoods, and creek bottoms. It is anything from flat to very hilly terrain.
We manage our harvest strictly to age, no antler requirements. We have taken 4 bucks off the property the last 2 years, but have had multiple encounters and trail cam pictures of tons of bucks on the property. Pictures can be seen when we meet to discuss the club.
We will be allowing our members to take 2 bucks going forward, but both of these will have to be at least 4 yrs or older.
We have had 12 members the last few seasons, but have decided to go to 14 this year based on average people hunting the property, as well as the need for workers in the off season. This addition of 2 people is the main reason for this post.
Dues will be $1500 each, with a $250 first year fee for new members. Planting costs will be around $200 but we will be doing a raffle for 1 of 3 guns to cover the cost. You are allowed to buy all your tickets, sell them all, or buy some and sell some.
Again, this post is for wait list only, but if the current people i have on the list do not want in, you could be called this year.
