This census seemed to have much fewer and less invasive questions than the last one? Literally took 5 minutes online. Agree. I remember in 2010 them asking questions about number of TVs in house, number of bathrooms and other ridiculous things. If you ever do any genealogy research you will find that back in the 1800's they used to tax people on how many clocks they had in their house.

I guess they tax you now on how many boats, RVs, cars, and land you have. Not part of the census though!

Clocks were very valuable back then as were mules. I did some research on one of my great great grandfathers who served in the 15th Alabama. When it came down to him collecting his meager Civil War pension from the state of Alabama, he had to list everything he owned. The 3 most valuable things he owned was the 40 acers in Kendrick Springs, a mule and a clock. If i remember correctly, the mule was worth as much as the land, and the clock was worth almost as much as the mule.

Did mine today. It's sad one of the options is I'm living here without paying rent. Just shows you what America is becoming/has become no its sad when they ask are you a man married to a man

I dont see the point dont those records exist already between the IRS, SS admin, DL offices, Voter registration, etc.... they honestly need us to report all that info back to them? It may have been needed a hundred years ago but with the internet you can rest assured the government already knows the answer to every question on that form before you ever even see it. threw mine in the trash fuq em let em figure it out I pay taxes Im not filling out anything for them unless im on their payroll. The point is to determine how many seats Alabama has in the US House of Representatives. This is the only place they will pull that data. Congratulations!! You just did what every Democrat in the country is hoping Republicans in predominantly Republican states will do. SMH

After the civil war till tractor use became the norm , a good pair of mules could very well be worth as much as the farm they worked on.
