All this water and creeks in this swamp is really making this difficult .....they will hang up at some water for about 30 minutes and finally make a move towards us, me and my boy are both shaking like leaf on a tree

Another new place this morning. Rain had us back in the truck by 8. Worked a bird enough that the morning was a success. My son asked if we could come back tomorrow and get him. So, I guess It'll be 2 of us next Saturday. Mission accomplished.

Listened to 4 gobble this am. One hammered till 10:00am. Prob is he was neighbors property and my son is a little young to be taught the art of piddling. Did call up 7 different hens so we gonna head back out in a few.

Did call up 7 different hens so we gonna head back out in a few. Great recap and funny. This morning we set up and ended up on the edge of the federal. I showed my son what the painted trees meant and how we couldn't cross them. Jokingly I thought the same thing.....I bet if a guy belly crawled over that finger he'd kill that one. Only 40 yards beyond those painted trees hahaha. I don't think I would have, but he kept me real honest.

Chased these dang birds all around the swamp today, me and my little boy has hunted them all day, crossing creeks and trying to get the upper hand, seems every time that they would be coming toward us a dang hen would meet them and take em away. We are tired and worn out, the double, and triple gobbles we’re making my boy smile big time. He is already chomping at the bit to go next weekend. No bird today but it was a win in my book, just spending time with my son and letting turkeys do what turkeys do

Didnt have a gun with him. He called this one in. He said his heart was beating pretty good. I bet that was fun. Hope he can do it again saturday.
