I haven't drank any buttermilk in ages until just now. I had to buy some to have a 1/2 cup for a recipe the other day. I have now polished off that whole quart in one sitting. DAMN, that was GOOD!

I hated it, when my grandaddy loved it, and I was 12. These days I love a good glass of buttermilk and my grandkids hate it. Obviously it's an acquired taste.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

I like a bit of it straight and live it in cornbread and biscuits. Not the same without it.

My granddaddy loves it. Eats cornbread and buttermilk like you would cookies and milk. I’ve even seen him crumble up tortilla chips in a glass of buttermilk before. Nasty.

always have some in the frig and it never goes bad. That's very true. Buttermilk is good way past the expiration date. Actually it's better, I think it peaks around 60 days past the expiration. That's the sweet spot.

I've always liked buttermilk straight up or with cornbread.

Buttermilk is essential to making biscuits and cornbread..nothing like a glass with some good lima beans or butter beans--what are you people? communist? Taliban??
and...and... I said drink milk with my fried bluegill and some of you turned green at that one...I blame bad parenting.
