Cranked up (finally, that's another story) of the mower I bought brand new last summer. To sum it up the mower deck is stuck in the up position and will not go down (w/o Viagra). It has a pedal up front to raise it up, I did that to adjust the final position of the deck and it just never went back down . Supposed to push the pedal to make it go back down,,,,not working. Sprayed with WD-40 tapped on it with a hammer, nothing. IDEAS???before I drag this thing back to the dealer. Expected more from a new 6K$ Kubota mower. And if it sits more than a few days it takes forever to crank. Not real happy.

Is there a lock on the twist dial for deck height If it's like the JD there's a visible aluminum ratchet block underneath the adjustment dial. On the JD it's directly under the switch control panel. The locking mechanism can get hung under pressure, or the lock shaft possibility broken, keeping the deck lock engaged. I keep mine unlocked and drop it to the lowest setting for transport on the trailer. When hauling it, that's a lot of weight constantly hammering that lock mechanism.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

So I went back out and sat on it and mashed the pedal in and as I was letting it
down I gave it a good swift whack with the heel of my boot. Problem solved.
Maybe that actuator gets rusty from sitting up all winter???

You must’ve had something rust in there. I’ve had the Z411 for a while and put a lot of hours on it. Never had that issue. Nor the cranking issue.

Takes forever to get the fuel back to the carb. I usually just pull the choke to full. Turn it over 1 time and it will usually try to crank. As it’s trying I just ease the choke leaver back down and it fires up. I’ve done that since day one. Only time it’s had to turn over more than once was because it had been sitting for a while. Usually in the summer it’s running every day.

This one has done it from the onset. Fired right up initially, then after sitting a week between cuttings I noticed
it took a while to start. Yesterday I gave it a shot of starting fluid and it fired right up.
