I turned down twelve thousand five hundred an acre a few months ago for some pasture land in Colbert County. It's in the Robert Trent Jones whatever, and is currently a hayfield. Man wanted to start a subdivision on it. I would have sold, but the wife (A Realtor) said no. The land was purchased in 1973 for one thousand an acre. Looks like we made a pretty good investment.
No doubt a good investment, but a grand an acre back then was a lot!
