To be fair and stop joking.... I got one of these in a trade and some dude from Ohio that read on the internets I think on the Sniper Hide forum that these were the best rifles ever built and had to have it..... so I sold it to him. For much more than I had in it. That made me a huge fan of Tooter's work.
I couldn't tell there was anything all that special about it other than a nice custom rifle was in my hands. Assembled with well known parts... custom barrel and action, stock, etc. You can buy it all right off the internet.
And the rifle is nice don't get me wrong.
I read about them before I sold it and I read a lot of claims including that this was the best machined rifle one guy had ever laid his paws on. I thought that was high grading it about as well as anyone who could just start making wild arse claims. I guess he disassembled the rifle and put a mic on everything to just check it out but common sense told me Tactical Timmy didn't know WTF he was talking about.
All that being said these are nice rifles and I don't want to offend BCLC because he is a nice guy and he's got a fine rifle here that anyone should be proud to own. It shoots like house fire and I'm not sure what more you could ask for.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

The definition of what is a custom rifle sure has changed in the last 20 years. Used to be a custom rifle had hand carved wood and metal with a deep rust blue. Nowadays if you can assemble the stainless steel and fiberglass parts you are holding a custom gun. I think it's more accurate to call them hand assembled. There are a lot of guys out there that are assembling these rifles on Remington actions or clones and call themselves custom rifle makers. Some builders are definitely better than others, but the really good ones are going to run you at least $5,000 or more for a rifle. Not knocking them, I have a couple of these hand assembled guns and they are my favorite rifles for durability and function. But I also have a couple of true custom rifles I've inherited, and there is no way a fiberglass and stainless gun can compare with the fit and finish of a true custom rifle.

There is a lot of truth in this. Most of the work in building a “custom” rifle these days is in cutting the chamber on a match grade barrel. Using good components just about any smith worth his salt can turn out a sub-moa rifle. Now a days most don't even true remington of winchester actions and just go straight to the custom stuff like stiller and such.

I own a Bieson Rifle. Jack O'Connor had a Bieson rifle. They don't shoot 1/2 MOA. But that's my idea of a custom rifle.

My buddy has 2, a .308 and a 26 nosler. I’m not super in love with them but not because of the quality, just the style rifles he had built. Big and heavy doesn’t fit my hunting style. But if I could afford a custom rifle build it would be Meredith. They are super super good shooters.
