i had to take someone to the DL office in montgomery about 4 months ago we arrived 30 minutes early around 7:30 am line was wrapped into the parking lot
about 1/3rd of people there were getting the star most were still in the lobby around 11:00 when we left. yeah, that's similar to the reports I've heard....ugh. I may just take my passport. Really didn't want to, just because I've heard it's a nightmare if it gets lost/stolen, but I seriously doubt I'll have a chance to go to the highway patrol office for 2 or 3 hours (or more) between now and then.
