linkSAVANNAH, Tenn. (WTVF) — Three people, including two Obion County Central High School students, have been reported missing on Pickwick Lake in Hardin County. According to the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency, the search resumed at 8 a.m. Monday morning for the two 15-year-old boys and the 43-year-old man. Tim Watkins, the Director of Schools for Obion County, said the three were part of a high school fishing team and had been on the water Saturday for a tournament. Watkins said their boat had engine problems before the competition started, preventing them from leaving the dock with the rest of the competitors. Tennessee River Valley News says it was believed they took the boat out of the water and went home; however, it was later determined they went ahead and tried to compete. "We were notified late Sunday that they had not returned home. Authorities were notified and a search has been started. I ask everyone to pray that these students and the parent are found safely. I also ask for prayers for their families and the students and staff of Obion County Schools in this time of uncertainty," Watkins said.

This is terrible, you might want to put Pickwick Lake in your title.
As a HS boat captin, i'm feeling sicker by the minute they aren't found. This morning i though they fished Sunday, turns out it was Saturday...... that can't be good news at all.
SAVANNAH, Tenn. (WTVA) - Authorities in Tennessee are searching for three people near Pickwick Lake.
They are looking for a missing 43-year-old and two 15-year-olds from Obion County, Tennessee.
Each boater was a part of the Obion Central High School fishing team club tournament that took place Saturday, WMC-TV in Memphis reports.
Timothy Watkins of Obion County Schools issued the following statement:
Two students and a parent who was acting as a chaperone are missing. They were not at weigh-in Saturday afternoon. It was believed that they had left early. Parents reported that the students had not been home at 7:30 last night. Authorities at Pickwick were contacted and a search was started. TWRA and emergency services personnel from Hardin County are conducting the search.
Pickwick Lake borders Tishomingo County, Mississippi, and northwest Alabama.
Obion County is located in northwest Tennessee along the Kentucky state line.

Update: TWRA confirms that the boat suffered serious damage when it went through the flood gates of Pickwick Dam. The search for the missing boaters is ongoing at this time (1:30pm)
Updated: 10:21am TWRA confirms that the missing boat has been located below the dam at Pickwick. The search continues for the missing boaters.
Breaking News: 3 Members of High School Fishing Team Missing On Pickwick Lake
What we know know is that three boaters have been reported as missing on Pickwick Lake in Hardin County.
TWRA says that two,15-year-olds and a 43 year-old, male were reported missing Sunday night.
The missing boaters are reportedly team members of the Obion County Central High School Fishing team. The fishermen were in Hardin County on Saturday for a fishing tournament.
According to Tim Watkins, the Director of Schools for Obion County, the three people missing are two students and one of their fathers, a chaperone.
Watkins said their boat was having engine trouble before the start of the competition and they did not leave the dock with the rest of the competitors. It was believed they took the boat out of the water and went home, but it was later determined they went ahead and attempted to compete.
The teams truck and trailer has reportedly been located.
TWRA says the search will resume this morning and will be coordinated between the TWRA and the Hardin County Rescue Squad.
