Anybody familiar with Tooter Meredith and his custom rifles? Good, bad, & the ugly?

She’s a shooter though. 26Nosler with a Brux 1:8 twist - (5) 143gr ELD-X in a quarter size group at 200. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/ZqqG2394/EDC2-E952-5-E7-E-48-E7-A709-FADDBA155-E81.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/L5rqQrYk/1-EE1-FB80-8-E58-41-AD-8-AEA-85281-FE49738.png)

If it's the same Tooter Meredith I know, he used to build some really fine lower water pickup lower units for hi-po Mercury outboard motors.

Oh I’m not saying they bad rifles. Just the prices I saw on some of his were way above me for a fancy build. Glad you got a shooter. That’s nice!

I'm just not getting a rifle built buy a guy named Tooter.
That's like going on a road trip hunting and when you get there you realize the fella you were supposed to meet is nick named "Catfish". And you don't know his real name.
Something just don't seem right when you pass the sign that says this is a State Park or Wildlife Refuge.
Shoulda just got a .243.

He's here local to the Athens area. I've never heard a negative thing said about him or his weapons. I do know for a fact that gunmakers from around the country come into Athens to learn from him and try to mimic his technique. My buddy used to have a gun shop in Athens and he was in that "circle" and we met Tooter a few times as well as through travel ball with our kids. If I had the money I would own one beyond the shadow of a doubt. Congrats on the gun!!

I'm hoping this Tooter fella has a buddy named Tater that works on lawnmowers? The mower needs a carb adjustment. I know it's a long shot but I also need to get my rifle trigger checked out. I think it's throwing the scope off.
Hopefully they are at the same spot I don't want to have to do too much running errands all over town. That's like a 2hr drive for me.

I have 2 of them. He’s the best in the south. It’s priced high but you get what you pay for. Not everyone can afford it, but they’re worth every penny. Your second pic posted should tell you everything you need to know about Tooter. If you ever want to get rid of it let me know I may be interested.
