I worked last night and just got up. So I’m just now getting updates. My son came down this morning and saw her when they opened up. She made it through the night. She was still heavily sedated, but was alert enough to recognize him and start wagging her tail. He just sent another text and said the vet called him and said they are now in the process of waking her up to see if they can further access the concussion. She’s still not out of the woods, but the fact that she made it through the night is a huge plus. Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers for her.

Went by to see her on my way to work just after 3. They tried to get her out before I got there and she got really aggressive with them, so they had to give her something for the pain. She was pretty well stoned when I saw her, but you could tell she recognized me. That is a good sign. She has also stood up a few times during the day. One of her pupils is still partially dilated, but the vet said that may be due to the nerve damage in her leg (as crazy as that sounds). The next step is to get her out and access whether or not she has any brain damage or motor skill problems.

Just got word from my wife that her and my daughter stopped by about 5:30 to see her. They had her out and she she was alert. My daughter even got her to eat a little. Then when they went to leave, she tried to follow them out. smile

Y'all need to change her name to Newman since they both survived bad crashes recently.

Great news. Hopefully she fully recovers. Some people don't understand it but our pets become family members and it's real heavy on our hearts when they get hurt or lose them. Dogs are truly man's best friend and will ALWAYS be glad to see you whether they feel good or not. Humans, not so much.

Sure glad to hear she is doing better Sonny.

I know of no other animal that has the loyalty toward its owner that a dog has.

God did well when he created the dog.
