That sucks hope it works out the best way possible for your family.. Hopefully your boy understands they are just dogs and it could have been way worse. Dogs are tough she will do great even if they amputate.

Best of luck to your family. We had a dog that had the same thing happen. Her head hit the pavement really hard when she was hit by a car. She came out of it fine, and was with us for a long, long time after it happened. Lived for 17 years.
