I use BallisticsARC and Hornady 4DOF. If all of your rifle inputs are good, is the distance confirmed? You can go online to JBM ballistics to see what numbers are outputted. LR instructors I listen to seem to go with get dope at 600-700 yards and adjust velocity, then if able confirm 1000 yards or longer and adjust BC.

A tailwind would cause high impacts, not a headwind, no? Headwind causes more drag resulting in a longer flight time which will cause the bullet to impact low.

I've been using the Zeiss, swarvo and meopta apps for my scopes. They are dead nuts on if you take the time to get the data right.
