Those little bubbles forming in your teapot is water turning into gas form (steam). But yeah, let a cold soft drink warm up it's going to hold less CO2 (fizzes) and will go flat.
No it isn't. It happens long before the water reaches boiling. Water ability to hold dissolved gas is inversely proportion to the temperature. This is why you boil water, even DI water, if you are doing any very sensitive wet chemical analysis. You want to remove all remove all dissolved gases that may interfere with your analysis. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.middleschoolchemistry.com/img/content/multimedia/chapter_5/lesson_8/solubility_curve_carbon_dioxide_big.jpg) CO2 follows temperature...based on what?
Based on data collected from ice cores. Here is NOAA chart. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/sites/default/files/Temperature-change-and-carbon-dioxide-change-measured-from-the-EPICA-Dome-C-ice-core-in-Antarctica-v2.jpg)

The ocean is where mother earth stores CO2 in the carbonate cycle. Water holds less gas as it warms (you have seen this demonstrated by the little bubbles that form in your tea pot before the water bubbles) CO2 levels have been proven to FOLLOW temperature cycles, they do not dictate them. CO2 is a very poor greenhouse gas, especially in the minute ppm (parts per million) changes that occur.
Having said that: Iron levels in the oceans do change, mostly from the iron rich sands that the high winds pick up in Africa for us (Atlantic & Gulf). Probably Australia for other parts of the world.
What the iron does for phytoplankton (plant plankton) is allows it to bind nitrogen from the atmosphere (we all know N, P, K = plant growth). I don't remember if it absorbs nitrogen and converts to nitrate or absorbs nitrates directly. (KNO3 = salt peter = potassium nitrate)
Beer belly is wicked smaaat.

Hot water holds less CO2...no sense in splitting hairs. The NOAA graph doesn't say one way or the other if CO2 causes temperature changes or if the temperature changes causes CO2. It's not as simple as the water gets hot, therefore CO2 leaves the ocean and increase CO2 in the atmosphere. If it were that simple, then warm water would add more CO2 (and water vapor) to the atmosphere, the atmosphere would get warmer, the ocean would get warmer, the even warmer water would release even more CO2 to the atmosphere, and so on. It's a dang complicated system and mother earth has done a great job of keeping the planet a good temperature for a long long time.

Ok without reading all of those articles because im just not that interested in it, didnt a volcano erupting cause a ice age, seems like I saw that somewhere. If im remembering that right wouldnt that be way more co2 than what man produces? Are we just counting co2 and not all the ash and debris, are we using some sort ofaverage for the volcanos? It would just be hard for me to believe we produce more pollution than a large volcano eruption.

It would just be hard for me to believe we produce more pollution than a large volcano eruption. Certainly not an ice age, but the 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora in Indonesia caused some short term cooling. Many times more material than Mt. St. Helens. That following year was known as the year without a summer. 6 inches of snow in New York in June. That short cooling was from volcanic ash in the atmosphere and reflected solar radiation back out to space. Ash doesn’t stay in the atmosphere long. CO2 does stay in the atmosphere much longer. Methane is much more effective as a greenhouse gas, but doesn’t stay in the atmosphere as long as CO2. Complicated story and I suppose the answer is a function of the time scale you’re interested in. With eruptions contributing CO2, keep in mind that volcanic gases are just a small portion of a volcanic eruption. Fossil fuels have a huge percentage of carbon. Huge amounts of energy is released when those carbon bonds are broken. Hence the huge demand for them and the amazing amount of work they do for us.

What I find interesting is something people rarely talk about and man made climate change groupies typically avoid like coronavirus. Previous ice ages in our ancient history (how long ago is subjective with many having different opinions) caused what? Well, duh, an Ice Age....period of time to sweep global weather much colder, form advancing glaciers, lower ocean levels, wipe out some species, etc. Pre ice age it was warmer without all the ice. Post ice age the introduced ice and cool weather is changing back. Plus there is random and cyclical weather conditions that are natural ebbs and flows. There is good evidence for all that and it stands up to scrutiny. Causation, though, is like a buffet table at Nikki's West....lots of choices and options.
What is rarely discussed is the state of the planet before the ice age and the event/series of connected events that caused it. It was obvious warmer, much warmer, because if it was colder we wouldn't have had an ice age by default and definition. The polar caps, the ice/glaciers, the ocean levels and associated weather and environmental conditions were different. Then the temps dropped, patterns changed fairly abruptly, ice advanced, oceans receded, etc...all during the ice age cooling period. After that period was over, slowly the ice age change is reversing...warmer, ice melting, etc...that's the observed factual conditions. The earth....isn't it possibly heading toward natural equilibrium after the ice age? So why is it such a bad thing to be supposedly going back to that condition? Is it not reasonable to call the pre ice age environment "normal"? I mean it was supposedly BEFORE mankind's corruption of the ecosystem, right? Isn't that the Holy Grail of the global warming crowd (and let's be real...."climate change" is a newly adopted term to replace the mantra of "global warming" because of the perversion of the science and manipulation by Progressives was exposed and warming isn't the overwhelming crisis as once exclaimed----so climate change encompasses any change even natural and expected ones....it's really a big bowl of liberal mush). But I digress...
All the groupies of man made climate change rarely address this...I find that very interesting and telling. If you are ever in a discussion on this, simply ask for their description of the earth environment and weather and such before the catastrophe or what ever events caused the ice age. Their answers will be important as you will know what kind of deceived person you are talking to....activists or accepters

Well it's 80 dam degrees in February, so maybe there's some truth to that global warming theory.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

Well Joe explain why in the 80’s popular science and the likes were talking about the coming of the next ice age? Money dries up so now it’s global warming? Hell weather is like fashion... it just runs in cycles.

Hell weather is like fashion... it just runs in cycles. In the 70s, public schools taught us that the 2nd Ice Age was coming and there was nothing that mankind could do to stop it. The Great Lakes were gonna overtake Kentucky, Canada was gonna be under ice, etc. And nothing anybody could do. And then POOF! All those theories are gone. WTH?!?!?! It's astounding to me how so many people believe that the US can change global WEATHER. And that's what it is, weather.
