I don't hunt in south Florida. I would, because it's pretty cool with deer and hogs and gators and snakes and birds, but I don't.
If your goals are to kill a buck and doing it during peak rut chasing is the best time because out of four months it's the easiest since they're at their least perceptive time of the year and stupid for poontang, that's cool. Knock yourself out. Congrats.
Also, I'm not "railing" against anyone. You want to hunt the easiest time of the season when the big, mature wary smart buck is so stupid because of sex that its guard is completely down? No problem. I enjoy hunting all season. Takes all kinds.
