What blows my mind is people think deer have to be in rut before you can kill them

It's kind of sad, really. The biggest thing the peak rut and chasing do is cause a buck to be less wary, and thus easier to kill.
Which means that it seems a lot of hunters just want it easy.
No offense but maybe your looking at it wrong at least for some of us rut hunters...
The only time I don't see the same deer over and over is during the rut. I could care less if it's easier or not. I just like the real CHANCE of seeing something different and hoping its full of horns. I don't have access to huge acreage where I can hunt a specific deer. I have to hunt whatever crosses my little 3 acre field or my 2 acre creek bottom.
