My son and I are in Coosa. Be here all day. May be on doe patrol. Walking in I can tell there has been a whole lot of water running down these hills since last week. Good luck y’all!!

Here in a tree in Perry county. It's already very windy and sprinkling. Between the warm temps., rain and wind, it may very well be the worst season I've had, weather-wise. And now I just dropped my glasses. I guess I'm headed back down.

Sitting in the blind in Coosa county, got here well before sun up. Just listening to the wind howl in this cut over. Not a deer in two days.

Here for 1 more sit, had a doe and yearling in field when I walked in. Buddy just shot at a buck but hit is questionable. We'll see.

Just from my back porch, I've seen probably 1/2 dozen or more (mostly does) trotting across the orchard this morning.
They haven't stopped for anything, just a steady trot, all business. They obviously got some destination in mind. The southeast wind usually shuts them down totally, but this is how they act when I see them. North wind or west wind, they stop by and take advantage of the groceries. South or East wind, they keep moving, or don't move at all.
I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

Nothing so far. Did see 3 does on 231 just south of Hog Rock BBQ in wetumpka on way up here. Saw a dead doe on 231 around Swayback that evidently had just gotten hit. Her eyes still had the reflection of my headlights. I had high hopes for the morning. We shall see.

Rain just set in pretty good here in Chilton county. Gonna sit in this blind where it’s dry until we get a break in the rain and then I’m headed home.
