Just over 9 hours of surgery. This is from his wife.......
They got the kidney out and all the cancer. They said once they got in there it hadn’t got as close to his heart as they had thought and it came out pretty easily. It was starting to go toward the vein effecting the blood flow to the other kidney but they got that took care of. He lost a good bit of blood and had to have 26 units of blood. They said the next 48 hours are little dicey regarding his heart due to the bypass. But the cardiologist said he doesn’t foresee any problems. He said he did really well. When I find out anything new I’ll let you know. I may be forgetting some info right now. It was a lot to take in. Main thing is he’s doing ok right now.
The grace of God is such a merciful thing. Still praying for full recovery and healing. Thank you all for your prayers.
