On trips to the mountains over the years, my family has brought up doing a helicopter tour, more than 1x.

I'm with you.

Ain't no way I'm getting in one of them.

You hear about too many of those jokers falling out of the sky.

Prayers for the man's family.

I just read that it was foggy and appears the chopper went into a mountain side. This is a sad situation either way but surely he had enough money to hire an experienced pilot.

Dude that is rape.

Actually, his exact words in the statement were "Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did."

Sounds more like an "agree to disagree" to me.[/quote]

I just read where LA County SO confirms his death but said his wife and children were not on board.

Went back and re-read It said the reports were initial ".His wife Vanessa, and three daughters, were not on board, initial reports indicate."

Now they are confirming his 13 YO daughter was on board.

Too early to know for sure I guess but there are reports that his daughter, Gianna, was on board.

Other reports say none of his children were on board.

Not sure what to believe just yet.

Yeah at least with an airplane and loss of power, theres some amount of glide possible.....with a helicopter you're just dropping like a rock.

Not entirely true. You can go into an autorotation and execute a run on landing if you’re lucky

I am a professional helicopter pilot and instructor pilot at Ft. Rucker. Helicopters are actually very safe and do not crash as often as people think. Look into the number of fatal small airplane crashes vs helicopter crashes. Most accidents involve human error, it doesn’t matter how safe the aircraft if the pilot has a lapse in judgement or gets in over their head often they and other people pay the price.

It is absolutely sad that this has happened and I pray for his family especially if his daughter was onboard.

I'm not saying he did it or didn't do it.....but, that is one of the most misunderstood verses in the entire Bible. There is nothing wrong, biblically for pointing out when someone does something criminal. That verse is typically misquoted by folks trying to defend something they know to be wrong.

Don’t you think it’s odd that it’s an S-76? Those are reliable aircraft. If you would have told me a Robinson I wouldn’t be shocked but to hear it was an S-76 leads me to believe that something extraordinary happened

I’m not using it to defend what Kobe did, I’m using it to state Christ’s position on folks piling on someone while ignoring their own sin. In other words their efforts would be more wisely spent fixing their own issues than criticism of others.
