People have been doing stupid crap as long as there have been people. Nothing new Yeah, but the ratio has gone up with the last generation. I agree they(many) screw up, I also place the blame on lack of parenting. Most of the parents wanted to be their friends instead of teaching manners, limits, discipline and patriotism. Single parent homes are a big problem that leads to spoiled kids. kids that only think of me and what America owes me. I agree with Perch . I taught school for 30 + years . Kids haven't changed that much . They will try to get away with as much as they can . Cell phones and technology has had a big impact on all our lives , but parents won't do their job anymore . Easier to go along than to say NO !

So if every generation has had the same amount of stupidity, why has the approval of socialism increased so drastically over the past 10-15 yrs. just sayin

So if every generation has had the same amount of stupidity, why has the approval of socialism increased so drastically over the past 10-15 yrs. just sayin It has been a long time since the fall of the Berlin wall, people have forgotten how bad socialism can be, then you have people like Bernie that push those same ideas and it is attractive to a lot of people that do not remember history.

So if every generation has had the same amount of stupidity, why has the approval of socialism increased so drastically over the past 10-15 yrs. just sayin In regards to the acceptance of socialism, I imagine there are many parents that are not teaching their kids how economics works and teaching them to have a work ethic. My parents made sure I know how it works and that I had a good work ethic. If you know how economics works and have a decent work ethic, I dont think you could possible support socialism. Im not saying its a cure all, because it's not, but it would be a good start.

IMO that’s as much the bums fault as it is the parents. Things got too easy in this country and people forgot what hard work and adversity are, especially the generation that’s raising these kids.
