In position. Hope you local Alabamians can stay warm out here. I was so excited to hunt in the cold I couldn't decide WHICH coat to wear.
Good luck and be safe!

It’s a beautiful morning. Had a doe and yearling feed by at first light. Maybe moms left a good scent trail for a big one.

Walked into a bedding area blind this morning. In some thinned pines between a green field and a creek. It’s a bit of a random spot, but we’re not seeing bucks in the normal spots so I figured I’d try to catch lightening in a bottle.

To hell with the deer. Just had 8 longbeards pitch down.
One strutter and one gobble. Best morning of the year.
Wish I knew how to post pic. I’m sure a few would enjoy.

Same. Most I've needed before today has been a lightweight fleece pullover. Vast majority of my deer have been shot the first two weeks of January in Nebraska. So I've accumulated a lot of cold weather hunting clothing that doesn't get used much anymore. But it's nice to have on a day like today.
