I backed out of my garage this morning for work and saw a good deer hop in the woods. I drove back in garage and got my rifle. Looked out front and saw two does feeding on some rye grass I sewed by the woods. I knew he had to be close but couldn’t see him. Finally after a few minutes of looking I saw movement in the woods. I walked out on the front porch only to see him chase off a small buck after his girlfriend. I was propped up on the front column as he was walking back to my yard. I took the first shot he gave me which gave him a dirt nap. My daughter was in the shower during all this commotion but heard the shot and came running wrapped in a towel asking what was going on. Funny scene.
