And for the guys running their dang mouth. Their is a lot difference in a 34yrold hunoting a deer than a 10yr old girl . yea I can find me deer I have to shoot at 200yds. But when you need to get a deer within 50-75yds for your 10yr old daughter that just decided she wanted to kill a deer. I am BEGGING anyone to come run there Damn mouth.

is there any reason you cant get a deer in that specific yardage where you hunt? i mean surely you can move closer and cut the shot distance down. that does not require common sense

Not where I am. Its cutover. Its my cousins land. On our land I have greenfields planted and can't even get a doe in them during the daylight. Whoever you are. You are welcome to come hunt here morning and evening. If you see ANYTHING within 150-175yds I will give you $150

Keep running your mouth. Come hunt West Etowah County for a whole season and then see if you run your mouth

For all the guys that hunt in South Alabama or North Alabama I beg you to come here and hunt for a year

i hunt public land i know what its like not seeing deer. you did say you see does every day. just move to where you are closer to them.. and they you come in here RUNNING your mouth like that will get you gone from this place for good. if i were you id re-evaluate they way you talk to ppl and see what kind of response then

I just want my daughter to kill a deer. It took me hunting hard around here for me to kill my first deer at 19. I do not want that for my daughter. I won't to make memories with her not sitting in the woods miserabl never seeing any deer. If I am sorry as hell for that then so be it. I may go in the morning and kill a big one. But my 10yr old daughter can't walk up and down ridges for 45mins to hunt.

I thought this place would understand by what I read but really y'all don't even care. See i See my daughter every other weekend. She lives two hours from me. She just started wanting to hunt with me. I just bought a new gun because she hates the recoil on anything she has shot. All I am trying to do is get my daughter a deer and I get shot down by everyone because i see deer and I killed a 7pt. And I ain't trying to get a free deer because if you will look in the land leases section you will see i am looking for land to lease for her and me. All I am asking is for people to realize everyone don't see 10 does in a greenfield everyday. I was just thinking of my daughter. Hoping she could kill her first deer and her and me could have memories for now on but I can see this site dang sure ain't the one to ask for that

I’ve gotten deer within 20 to 40 yds with my daughter when she was 6. Also with a 12 yr old a couple weeks ago. All north Alabama public land. Not sure what the issue is. Ya gotta play chess, not checkers. You gotta set up where the deer are, not where you want them to be. That might mean.... I don’t know.... gettin off a food plot and scouting. The deer are somewhere during daylight. You say you’re seeing deer in the cutover, move from your “observation” stand and close the distance on the trails you know are active, wait for the right wind and get in there on em. If you don’t burn some boot leather and put in the effort.... don’t expect much. Simple as that. Good luck to ya! I hope she gets one.

Buddy come hunt where I hunt. Ask anyone that hunts in West Etowah County. If I may ask where do you hunt?

And all the land added together that i can hunt is 50 acres

i got a buddy that hunts in etowah co and he has 60 acres he kill 3-5 deer a year and is putting one on the wall about every 3 years

What part of etowah county??? And is he 10yr old

between hokes bluff and turkeytown and he is 39. on that 60 acres he has 2 fields he does not shoot deer on the fields. plants fields and feeds year around. 10 acres is cutover and this is where he will kill 85% of his bucks as he has cut lanes in it so he can let the cut over grow thick and nasty but still have avenues to shoot deer

Well 44acres of the land I have to hunt I wasn't able to hunt until
two weeks ago. And it will probably be sold before next season so yea it's not like I can
make anything good out of it. Its all cutover and the closest shot
you may get is 150yds. So that's what I meant by know what people are hunting
