Fixing to go see if the ole bow is still on cue. Anyone else shooting this weekend. Just over two weeks away.

Been shooting the past few months. Don't wait until a few weeks before season opens. Figure I owe it to the deer I'm shooting at...

Well I shot 4 times at 30 yards. Grouped all 3 in a 3" group. Put up my bow. I'm ready.

Shot some yesterday. Had to move to the left a litle but other than that she was dead on at 15-40yds. Shot my own arrow, broke it in half. Tight groups work for me!

Shoot on and off all year. Start shooting everyday about a month before season starts and continue to shoot everyday until season is over.

You should be able to put that first arrow where you want it. You're not going to get warm up shots at a deer. You're last 10 days or so of practice should be 1 arrow sessions.

I usually start with a little shooting in June and progresively increase as the weeks go by.
Well this year I was behind the power curve. Started in June and did good for 2 weeks then for some reason just never could get back to it till the end of Aug.
Luckily I didn't change my setup and it was still on...minus my own personal rust.
But I'm good to go now. Not exactly where I would really like to be but I'm comfy enough for my hunting ranges.
I'll be testing it out this Sat. Bow season in MS.

I'm a broke student so I shoot all the time. It's about the cheapest thing that I can do. That is as long as I don't tear my arrows up or loose em'.
