I'm proud to call that place home. (Sarcasm) Growing up around that gets in your mind. I don't care if they're white, black, green, yellow or red. That kind of attitude is just sick. I don't hate the race, I hate the mindset. I grew up in Vidalia, about 5 miles from Ferriday and my dad's office is in Ferriday. That's the mentality all through the area. That's also the reason I chose to move and raise my family somewhere else. Sad thing is that these idiots kids will have the same mindset as their parents.

Watching that video I saw one feller that is totally innocent of drug peddling. That's that big ole "Fat Albert" looking guy in baby blue. He might be eatin somebodies drug prophets up but he's not peddling them. My guess is his occupation is fool time eater.

Are we getting the truth from reporter Brooke Buford in her report? They told me they are angry about it. Marcus Simms: describing what happened. James Lewis: describing what happened. Derrick Brown: comments on no jobs and getting knocked back down. I don't see the same picture the reporter described. I don't see the people who are in their houses and afraid to come out to talk to the reporter. All I see is three people who are on the street willing to talk to a reporter who wants us to see it like she describes it. Bad journalism, IMO.

Bad reporting. That ain't journalism. I'm not making a claim for good or bad reporting/journalism. I am making a case that the majority acts just like that and I'm sure she didn't have to look very hard to find someone that would talk. Go spend a weekend in Ferriday/Concordia Parish and see if you don't come away feeling the way that the video made you feel. They are all victims.
