It is easy to rattle in small bucks, spikes or 4pts. Since they circle down wind if you can setup with CRP or 2 year old clear cuts on the downwind side you have the advantage. I prefer to rattle around scrape lines because larger bucks will come into the scrape instead of circling down wind.

Can you rattle or call from up in a tree? Or, must you do it from the ground? I haven't tried either

a tree works just fine, I have done most of mine from a tree. Just be careful on movement if you can see the deer. I have many times turned and held the antlers behind me to try and rattle a buck I can see.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Can you rattle or call from up in a tree? Or, must you do it from the ground? I haven't tried either Dont think I've ever done it on the ground and I have been successful rattling.
