Very exciting morning in Fayette County!
- got to my ladder stand at daylight
- young 6 point came through
- bigger buck crossed the road at 7:30, couldn’t tell how good he was but don’t think he was a shooter
- another small buck runs by
- big buck comes running in, wasn’t sure why he was running
- noticed a doe in front of him
- watched for about 15 minutes thinking he wasn’t a shooter
- finally got a good front view of him and realized he was a shooter
- grunted to him and he started moving
- at one point I thought he spotted me
- waited for an hour to get a clean shot
- the doe he was chasing crossed the road
- put the gun up where she crossed
- he took one step onto the road and I smoked him
- he didn’t bleed but I found him about 25 yards from where I shot him
He was stinky and swollen. Was a fun morning. I saw 4 bucks and 6 does in total
