Your past experiences hunting big, community scrapes vs small scrape lines?

The bigger the scrape usually means the more it's used. Scrape lines may indicate travel routes of a particular buck, but those car hood size community scrapes are the stuff to hunt right before the rut IMO.

Community scrapes are usually visited by most deer in the area. Scrapes may, or may not be visited again by the buck that made them. We usually get daytime pictures of mature bucks around the first of January at scrapes. I've killed good bucks near scrape lines during the seek phase after Christmas, but they weren't working the scrapes.

The one I have is the size of my z71 hood..massive.
There is a lone decent size scrape about 20 yards from it.

Get 75 to 100 downwind of it.
