Present from bullock county this afternoon. Hunting in a sad daddy blind on a green field with CRP on the left and thinned pines on the right.

I'm here by the creek watching a crossing spot. Ran some off walking in but they only heard me, didn't see me. Maybe one will cruise through. I went fishing this morning. Trying to kill a deer this evening.

Haha thanks. I thought he had a fresh injury. That's the only reason I shot it. Right front leg gone, healed completely. Unique rack.

Rack is perfectly "normal" for a buck that's had a front leg injury. Always affects the rack on the opposite side of the leg injury.

Mother nature can be weird sometimes.

You think it was shot off or predators? Damn if that doesn't say a lot about a deer's will to survive!

Probably shot. There was a knot on the other leg that looked like a healed wound. Probably shot low, blew one leg off and just grazed the other? He came through a thicket and sounded like a heard of elephants. When he finally got to where I could see it was a deer, he was hobbling and when he would jump over a lay down, he would almost fall. That's when I decided to shoot him when he hit an opening. I never noticed the missing leg until I walked up on him. I thought maybe I shot it off..lol

When I shot him, he jumped straight up and took off to my left. I didn't want to have to drag him any further so, I hit him again and he flipped forward and piled up.

I’ve killed two with three legs, all were running in front of a pack of dogs. Mine were both gone at the knee.
They are tough. My bro and I were talking about cows last night. Wouldn’t it be cool if there was still wild cattle? I assume they were as tough as deer are now. Once you tame/domesticate something it’s strange how it loses its resilience. Glad you got him!!
