I reckon I'm just outclassed in this department. I've got a bottle of Crown on top of a cabinet and it's been there for a few years now, unopened. Before that I had a handle of Crown in the freezer that took over 10 years to finish. On the other hand, I don't let my Bud Lite get out of date I can’t believe you would be a defector for a Canadian blended whiskey. Next think you know you will be watching hockey over football. .....and shooting a 6.5 Creedmore. 😳

I just wanna score a bottle of angels envy to try. Can’t find it. I had blantons and personally I found it no better than any other Sazerac products. Guess I don’t have the refined pallet

It's good. It used to be $15 a bottle over at this liquor store over in Georgia near the cabin and I used to buy it all the time. It was my main cabin whiskey. I took it for granted. It pisses me off that everyone has "discovered" it now, because every time I go over there he's sold out.
Next thing you know Very Old Barton's or Old Granddad will be the latest "Thing." [quote=Irishguy] That old grandad bonded is excellent

I have NEVER liked burbon or any whiskey my whole life. But, I have had a few shots lately that I can say I like. There was one guy with a bottle of crown red label that was smooth. Heat that is made in Madison is damn good with a little come zero. But, like I said, I am not a whiskey man.

Very Old Bartons tastes like Evan Williams with dish soap in it.....to me, no offense Irish. Ive got OGD 114 unopened and 100 proof unopened. I got 80 proof opened. It aint bad...Im with BigGameHunter on Larceny. Its my go to wheater. Its everything Makers Mark wants to be. I'm not a fan of Very Old Barton, I just threw it out there as an example. However if you can find Old Grandad Bottled in bond, it's pretty good stuff. So is Jim Beam Bottled in Bond.

Larceny is good stuff and at $25 bottle who can complain. I’m just not a fan of the wheat so makers, larceny, etc is second choice. Not a high rye guy either I like the standard 51% corn with a little barley
