He harrassed her. No doubt he is guilty of that and should be fined and pay the price. With this charge though he will likely be required to register as a Sex Offender which is a little over the top IMO. That will have very serious consequences for the rest of his life. Somewhere between this and laughing it off is a middle ground. That is where this should end up.

If this is the new minimum standard for sexual assault, our sons are in trouble. I think the look she gave him was a suitable punishment for his crime. Beyond that maybe some sort of discipline from his church for being a poor example. That should be about right. This was not a big deal and a big deal should not be made of it. And I have considered if it was my daughter.

Someone I know doing that to me would be one thing, but a complete stranger would be a little different, although I doubt I would file sexual assault charges.
